Our Story
We are in Christiansburg. It's pretty lame. It's a small miserable town caught in the liberal redneck belt of America. We were a bunch of nobody's at C'burg High. We all knew each other, mostly indirectly. A long story short, some lose ends were tied, a few phone calls were made, and we now have this amazing band with an amazing sound, described as, "Death In the Form of a Semi-Automatic" *We have a real passion for the way we play with the aim to spark something within the hearts and minds of those who pay half a mind to what our music has to say...
Our name was based on a murder in 1921. In GUN ALLEY: "Every man's hand is against the murderer of little Alma Tirtschke, whose body was found on Saturday morning in a right-of-way off Gun Alley, for the circumstances of the murder are such that never has there been created a deeper feeling of horror. The greatest activity is being displayed by the police, and senior detectives Brophy and Piggott, with whom Plainclothes Constables Portingale and Harper are associated, have been visited by many persons who have expressed their opinions about the crime and have offered to render any assistance that might be required. Many of their callers have been in a commotion of excitement caused by resentment of the diabolical crime and their eagerness to suggest possible clues has shown how the public mind has been tried". |
